An introduction to Neighbourhood Management

Neighbourhood management is a new way of engaging communities and partners in improving the quality of life in the most deprived areas of Wansbeck.

The model joins up all the work of partners in the key agencies including the provision of quality services, as well as the physical, environmental and housing improvements.

This model will also act as best practice for improving services and engaging local people across the rest of Wansbeck, allowing the other areas of Wansbeck in essence to catch up in relation to sustainable communities to ensure a consistent approach across the district.

Neighbourhood management implements a 3 stage process to create a sustainable model driven by the community to progress physical and social changes in the community and to create an environment of neighbourhood focused services.
